Originally inspired by the 2022 World Cup, our take on the event, nicknamed the "Backyard Cup", featured teams of 3 following the world cup schedule. Played on a field reduced to the size of a basketball court, teams are left to play 3 on 3 with no goalie in a high-scoring and fast-paced game. The tournament follows that of the World cup starting with a group stage which narrows the bracket down to 8 teams, and leaves us with one team at the very end
